Kathleen D. LaRue, age 85, of Huntingburg and Jasper, formerly of Wheeling, West Virginia, passed away at 12:27 a.m., on Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at the Northwood Good Samaritan Retirement Community in Jasper.

kathleen-larue-photoShe was born June 19, 1931, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to Harry Newton and Maude (Yost) Hester; and was united in marriage to Harold E. LaRue on October 14, 1950, in Wheeling, West Virginia. Kathleen was a committed wife, and a dedicated mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold E. LaRue, who died November 3, 2005; one sister, Dorthea Mundy; and two brothers, Richard Hester and Henry Hester.

She is survived by:

Three sons,
Harold E. (Audrey) LaRue, Jr. of Holland, Ind.,
Bruce W. LaRue of Evansville, Ind.,
Joseph LaRue of Winslow, Ind.;
Two daughters,
Joyce Arlauskas of Huntingburg, Ind.,
Rehnea Bell of Duff, Ind.;
by (9) grandchildren, (15) great grandchildren and (12) great-great grandchildren.

A reception celebrating Kathleen’s life will be held from 1:00-7:00 p.m., C.S.T., on December 21, 2016, at the Christmas Lake Village recreation center in Santa Claus, Indiana with a memorial service held at 2:00 p.m., C.S.T., during the reception.
