A Jasper driver was in pain after storm debris caused an accident along CR 300 North.

63-year-old Robert Eckert of Jasper was driving his 1995 Chevy truck yesterday traveling west on County Road 300 North. When an afternoon severe storm caused a tree to fall in the roadway.

Eckert struck the tree causing the front end to be caught trapping him inside the vehicle. A local farmer helped to remove the tree from the roadway with a backhoe.

Eckert complained of pain to his hip and shoulder after the accident. The Dubois County Sheriff Dept was assisted at the scene by Memorial EMS, Dubois County First Responders and the Dubois County Highway Department.
