Kevin Manley has filed for re-election for the Republican nomination on the Jasper City Council.

Manley currently serves as 6th District Councilman, a position he has held for 12 and a half years.

In a release Manley says Jasper is changing and growing with all the recent developments. He says as the city grows, he feels it is important for residents to challenge themselves to keep
improving services while controlling costs.

Manley added the city has a great team of employees who take pride in their work and do a great job delivering city services.

He continued that they are in the process of updating a comprehensive plan for the city. Manley says the road map will lead them in
moving Jasper forward and says he is very proud of the accomplishments of the city and looks forward to executing their comprehensive plan once it’s complete.

Manley currently serves as the Executive Director of the Dubois County Tourism Commission.

In addition to his council duties and employment, Manley serves on the boards of Dubois Strong, Radius Indiana, the Indiana Tourism Association, DC Multisport, Healthy Eating Active Living, and Generations.

He is a member of the Jasper Knights of Columbus, the Jasper Moose Lodge, the Jasper American Legion Post 147 and St. Joseph Catholic Church.

His hobbies include exercise, golf, and biking – with his favorite pastime being spending time with his family.

Kevin and his wife Diane have three grown daughters: Rachelle Greener, Allison Schmitt, and Kara Docktor of Jasper as well as nine grandchildren.
