A Jasper resident hopes to capture the republican nomination for the District 5 seat on the Jasper Common Council.

Paul Lorey, a current member of the Jasper Plan Commission and the Indiana 15 Regional Planning Commission says in a release he and his family have been blessed to live and work in the Jasper and Dubois County community and experience the growth and changes in the area.

He says he has enjoyed serving the city on the Plan Commission for the last 7 years and looks forward to tackling some of the challenges to keep Jasper a great community for years to come.
He says looking forward he would like to continue to address the issues at hand for business employment staffing challenges, enticing and retaining young talent through a quality of life, a clean city with outstanding streets, and an ongoing focus on affordable housing.

Lorey said he has spent a tremendous amount of time working with the city and community on the Unified Development Ordinance and is now focused on the Comprehensive Plan helping to guide the city for the next 15-20 years.

Once again Lorey is a part of the Jasper Plan Commission and the Indiana 15 Regional Planning Commission. He is a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus, and coaches multiple teams in the Jasper youth soccer league.

He and his wife Tracy have three children
