Police arrested a Loogootee man over the weekend after being asked to assist at the Strassenfest Beer Garden.

At 12:35 am Saturday, the Jasper Police Department was requested to the scene for a reported male urinating on a building and being verbally abusive to beer garden workers.

According to police, 20-year-old Tokala Richardson was stumbling in the road near the intersection of Fourth and Jackson Streets.

Police used a portable breath test and say Richardson’s blood alcohol content level tested .29%.

Richardson was medically cleared at Memorial Hospital and Healthcare Center then booked into the Dubois County Security Center.

He faces preliminary misdemeanor counts of public intoxication, disorderly conduct, and illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor. Richardson posted the bond at 10:20 on Saturday night.
