A Huntingburg man is behind bars after leading police on a foot chase on Saturday night.

Police stopped 52-year-old Chris M. Ferguson for going 43 miles per hour in a 25 miles per hour zone on Chestnut Street near First Avenue in Huntingburg.

Police say Ferguson allegedly got out of the vehicle and immediately started walking away.

When officers ordered Ferguson to stop, he started running.

After ignoring orders from police, Ferguson was brought to the ground by a taser.

Ferguson’s blood alcohol content tested at .117%.

Ferguson was booked into the Dubois County Security Center Sunday morning on preliminary misdemeanor counts of operating while intoxicated and resisting law enforcement.
