Four people are facing charges following the execution of a search warrant at a Petersburg home earlier this week.
According to the Pike County Prosecutor’s Office, deputies responded to a residence on North State Road 57 on April 6 and reported smelling marijuana. After obtaining a warrant, officers found marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and other suspected substances inside the home.
Investigators also reported unsafe living conditions, including animal waste inside the residence, neglected pet areas, and insect infestations in parts of the home where a three-year-old child was living.
Brandy Davis, 37, of Petersburg, faces charges including neglect of a dependent, maintaining a common nuisance, and possession of marijuana. Keith Kingsley, 40, and Sherry Dillon, 40, both of Petersburg, are each charged with maintaining a common nuisance and dealing in marijuana. Jalon Reyes, 18, of Petersburg, faces a charge of possession of marijuana.
Authorities say Kingsley told investigators he organized an Easter egg hunt at the property, hiding eggs containing marijuana in trees for adults, while separate eggs were placed in the yard for children.
Officials remind the public all charges are allegations and the individuals are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
