A Jasper man was placed under arrest on drug charges after a traffic stop Tuesday evening.

Jasper Police say at a quarter till 10 last night 40-year old Thomas Bailey of Jasper was situated at the intersection of 4th and Jackson Streets where an officer initiated a traffic stop because of Bailey’s failure to use his turn signal.

Police learned that Bailey was driving with a suspended license and had a false and fictitious plate on his vehicle.

A further investigation found that Bailey was in possession of marijuana and three smoking devices.

He was taken to the Dubois County Security Center where he was booked on a Class B Misdemeanor count of Possession of Marijuana and three misdemeanor counts of possession of paraphernalia.
