For the second consecutive year, Jasper based Kimball International has been certified as a great workplace by the independent analysts at Great Place to Work.
The company earned this credential based on ratings provided by its employees in anonymous surveys.
Kimball Chairman and CEO Bob Schneider says the company’s guiding principles are the foundation of the organization and have stood the test of time. He says in those principles, their people are the company and they are proud to be recognized with the certification.
Schneider says employee feedback they receive from this process helps them identify continuous improvement opportunities with the focus on being the employer of choice in each community in which they have operations.
Vice President of Great Place to Work’s Recognition Program Kim Peters says they applaud Kimball for seeking certification and releasing its employees’ feedback.
She says the ratings measure its capacity to earn its own employees’ trust and create a great workplace — critical metrics that anyone considering working for or doing business with Kimball should take into account as an indicator of high performance.
Kimball International employees completed nearly 11-hundred surveys, resulting in a 90 percent confidence level and a margin of error of + 1.98.
