A Jasper man was placed under arrest for allegedly attacking another individual at the local SNAPS restaurant earlier this morning.

Authorities from the Jasper Police Department were called to SNAPS about a physical altercation that took place.

Upon arrival, officers say they located a male victim that was bleeding from his mouth due to a cut lip.

Authorities say after further investigation it was revealed that the victim had been struck in the face with a glass beer mug causing the injury to the victim.

A short time later, Officers made contact with 42-year old Jason Bohnert of Jasper at his residence, around 1 am this morning.

The victim and two witnesses positively identified Bohnert as the suspect after officers showed them a photo of the man.

Bohnert was charged with a Level 3 Felony count of Aggravated Battery and a Class A Misdemeanor for Disorderly Conduct.

Bohnert was booked and lodged into the Dubois County Security Center.
