A Jasper woman was placed under arrest with a number of charges including possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia in the downtown Jasper vicinity Monday evening.

Jasper Police say just after 10:30 p.m. last night officers were called to a report of an intoxicated woman sitting in her running car, possibly passed out in The Herald parking lot located at the corner of East 4th and Mill Streets in Jasper.

When police arrived an investigation found that 21-year old Gina Kieffner of Jasper was indeed impaired.

Police say they found K2 and paraphernalia in her possession. Kieffner was taken to and booked into the Dubois County Security Center where she was charged with public intoxication, possession of synthetic marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.
