Doris Jane Hildenbrand, age 87, of Holland, passed away at 4:10 a.m., on Tuesday, January 3, 2017, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.

She was born November 14, 1929, in Holland, Indiana to Raymond and Olive (Wood) Hunefeld. Doris was employed in the offices of Holland Dairy. She was a member of Zoar United Methodist Church, the Zoar United Methodist Women, and served on many church committees. In her youth, she was very active in the local 4-H Club, square dancing, and the Rural Youth. Doris continued her participation in local 4-H Club activities later in life and was a 4-H leader for over forty years. She also participated in the horticulture and leadership activities of the Indiana State Fair for over 20 years; was involved in the activities of the Dubois County Museum and the Holland Christmas Decorating Committee; and was a member of the Purdue Council for Agricultural Research Extension and Teaching for many years.

Doris is survived by:

One daughter,

Jane Hildenbrand of Indianapolis, Ind.;

Three sons and one daughter-in-law,

Daniel Hildenbrand of Holland, Ind.,

Charles (Diana) Hildenbrand of San Antonio, Texas,

Tom Hildenbrand of Bristow, Ind.;

One brother,

Jerry Hunefeld of Huntingburg, Ind.;

by (3) grandchildren and (1) great grandchild.

Funeral services for Doris Jane Hildenbrand will be held at 11:00 a.m., E.S.T., on Friday, January 6, 2017, at the Zoar United Methodist Church in Zoar, Indiana with burial to follow at the Zoar Cemetery. Reverend Keith Chanley will officiate at the service.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2:00-8:00 p.m., on Thursday; and also at the church from 10-11:00 a.m., Friday, prior to the funeral.
