A water main break that was discovered late Tuesday morning led Jasper city officials to shut down a stretch of roadway on the city’s near east side..
Jasper Police say West 17th Street from Newton Street east to Main Street had to be closed around noon.
The street near the Buffalo Trace Golf Course will be closed till further notice. No word if there is a is a boil advisory in the area.
