Madison Township resident Bret Collignon has announced his intentions to run in the November general election for Madison Township Trustee.

Bret has lived in Madison Township for the past 26 years and is the father of three children.

He attended Vincennes University and IVY Tech earning degrees in plumbing and pipe-fitting.

Collignon is retired as a job superintendent from Harrell-Fish, Inc., a mechanical contractor located in Bloomington, where he was tasked with employee management, payroll, budgets and time constraints. For the past twelve years, he has been an apprentice instructor for plumbers and pipe-fitters.

Collignon is 53-years old and is very active in local community affairs. He is a member of Precious Blood Church, the Dubois County Sportsmen’s Club, the Jasper Rifle and Gun Club, Jasper Outdoor Recreation, the Dubois County Shooting Sports Instructor Council, Dubois County Wranglers 4-H Horse and Pony Club, Dubois County 4-H shooting Sports Club, Indiana Hunter Education Instructor, and has served two terms on the Dubois County 4-H Council.

In many of these organizations, Collignon served in a leadership role over the past twenty-nine years.

In a release Collignon says he is familiar and comfortable working with county representatives to create budgets and procure funds. He says in a past position, twenty-seven percent of the budgeted money was returned to the tax payers of Dubois County.
