Authorities have released the names of the two men they say were hit in a shooting incident that took place Sunday afternoon in Crawford County that claimed the life of a Kentucky man.

An updated facebook post by Sgt. Robbie Lambert of the Indiana State Police Jasper post says 29-year old Gregory Peals of Louisville was killed in the incident. Meanwhile they say 26-year old Ricky Phipps of Magnet also received a gunshot wound.

The shooting took place around 2 pm at a home belonging to Terry Olives of English along the 25000 block of Easy Street south of Sulphur.

State Police have been making attempts to locate and notify any relatives but so far, have been unsuccessful. They ask that anyone who may be acquainted with Peals to contact the Indiana State Police Jasper Post at 800-742-7475 to assist with notifications.

Police say the incident is still under investigation and that facts and circumstances in this incident will be reviewed by the Crawford County Prosecutors Office to determine if criminal charges are applicable.
