A Loogootee man was placed under arrest after he was allegedly watching what looked to be child pornography at a Loogootee fast food restaurant.

This past Friday the Loogootee Police Department received a complaint of a Male subject inside Wendy’s restaurant viewing what appeared to be child pornography.

Police made contact with the suspect identified as 71-year old Timothy Guy of Loogootee. During the investigation police say Guy gave authorities consent to search the contents of his computer and external hard drive.

Upon searching the computer, police found several images of nude females ranging in age from approximately 5 to 6 years old to approximately 13 to 14 years old.

Martin County Prosecutor Michael Steiner was contacted, and a search warrant was applied for and granted by Martin Circuit Court. During the execution of the search warrant at Guy’s residence early Saturday morning, officers located multiple media storage devices, two cameras, two tablet computers, and an external hard drive.

Steiner is considering seeking cooperation from federal authorities with this case.

Loogootee Police placed Guy under arrest on Saturday. He was charged with Possession of Child Pornography, a Level 5 Felony and was taken to and booked into the Martin County Security Center.

Assisting with the investigation and arrest were the Indiana State Police, the Martin County Sheriff’s Office and the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office.
