Washington Police, assisted by the Drug Enforcement Administration, and Indiana State Police, arrested four people this past Friday after finding a quarter pound of methamphetamine worth $10,000 in a car during a traffic stop on Interstate 69.

The department’s K-9 Drago alerted officers to the presence of drugs in the vehicle.

In addition to the methamphetamine, police found Schedule 2 and 4 Controlled Substances and Paraphernalia.

The driver, 43-year-old Shawn Carrico of Washington, and two passengers, 33-year-old Oakley Phillips of Washington, and 35-year-old David Hillger of Oaktown, were arrested for Conspiracy to Deal Methamphetamine, Possession of Meth, Possession of Schedule 2 and 4 Controlled Substances, and Possession of Paraphernalia.

Phillips was also arrested on a misdemeanor warrant out of Knox County.

Police later conducted a search at a home in Washington where officers found Methamphetamine, Marijuana, Paraphernalia, and four Firearms.

33-year-old Tiffany Sexton of Washington, was arrested at that location for Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Paraphernalia.

Sexton was the owner of the car that had been pulled over earlier in the day.
