A criminal investigation launched by investigators with the Indiana State Police Evansville post last month has resulted in the arrest of a Pike County man on two counts of child molesting.

An ISP detective from Evansville opened up his investigation in late October after receiving information about a girl under the age of 14 who had recently been molested.

The investigation found that 32-year old James Johnson of Petersburg, allegedly molested the female juvenile earlier that month.

After reviewing the investigation, the Pike County Prosecutor’s Office issued an arrest warrant Tuesday for Johnson.

He was arrested Tuesday night without incident and was taken to and booked into the Pike County Jail on 2 separate felony counts of Child Molesting. He is being held on a $350,000 bond.
