The report of a domestic disturbance at a Jasper apartment complext Sunday evening ended with the arrest of a Floyd County man on a number of charges.

Just before 7:30 last night officiers with the Jasper Police Department were called to an apartment complex along the 500 block of West Village Court on the city’s northside in reference to a Verbal Domestic.

Officers were informed of an intoxicated male, later identified as 23-year old Richard Taylor of New Albany in a back bedroom.

Police say Taylor refused to identify himself and became aggressive with Police Officers.

After further investigation, police learned that Taylor had an active Warrant for a Probation Violation out of Floyd County.

Taylor was taken to and booked into the Dubois County Security Center on charges of Disorderly Conduct, Resisting Law Enforcement, and Refusing to Aid an Officer, all misdemeanors.

Jasper police were assisted by the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department.
