The Jasper Police Department says a vehicle they believed was to have been involved in a hit and run accident late last week has been identified

Police were initially asking for the public’s assistance as they investigated the incident they say took place early Thursday morning.

Police say the incident happened at around 12:20 am Thursday along the 300 block of West Tenth Street in Jasper.

Police say the vehicle has been located and did not provide any further details on the accident.
