The manhunt for a man accused of kidnapping a woman and two children is over.

Police found Robert Chilcoate hiding in a field near Highway 231 and County Road 500 on Thursday.

It all started after Chilcoate and the other suspect, Francis Wilkins of Owensboro, pulled a gun on a Chrisney resident.

The suspects then fled to Owensboro, where they abducted a woman and two small children.

Then Wilkins and Chilcoate led police on a chase that crossed the state line into Indiana.

It came to an end when they crashed into a cornfield off Highway 231 and AK Steel.

Wilkins was taken into custody at the scene.

Both men are in custody. The woman and children were taken to the hospital as a precaution.
