Two cars are heavily damaged after a crash on Wednesday evening.

According to Jasper Police, 27-year-old Taylor Cox of Hawesville, Kentucky was driving behind 35-year-old Kayla Dooley of Jasper going southbound on Third Avenue.

Cox didn’t see that Dooley had stopped to make a left turn, hitting her from behind.

Cox sustained head injuries but refused medical care, and was cited for following too closely. Her Silverado has $10,000 in damages.

Dooley suffered leg and arm pain but also refused medical care at the scene. Her Dodge Durango suffered $20,000 in damages.
