One person is dead after a fatal three-vehicle crash in Warrick County on Tuesday.

70-year-old Shelia Shoftall of Chandler was stopped behind a semi-driven by 48-year-old Jermaine Canada of Birmingham, Alabama on State Road 62 in dense fog on Tuesday..

44-year-old Verna Knepp of Washington was pulling a utility trailer eastbound and failed to see the traffic stopped at Epworth Road, rear-ending Shoftstall and pushing her into the semi.

Shofstall was pronounced dead at the scene.

Knepp and Canada suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to area hospitals.

A passenger in Knepp’s vehicle was not injured.

The investigation is ongoing.
