FERDINAND – The City of Ferdinand’s Facebook page recently shared a post to announce the following news about their community center:

“The Clem and Mary Lange YMCA is excited to announce plans for a 3,000-square-foot addition to its facility located in Ferdinand.

The expansion project will include a 15 x 27-foot therapy pool, a sauna, and a stretching area. Primarily, the pool will be used for rehab services, personal training, swim lessons, small group classes, and individual aquatic workouts. Details of the stretching area and sauna are still in the planning phases. The addition will also include outdoor seating and a community gathering area. The project is expected to be complete by early summer 2024.

The Tri-County YMCA, chartered in 2003, currently serves over 3,600 members with programs in Dubois, Perry, and Spencer counties. The YMCA constructed its current facility in 2011 with an expansion in 2021. This expansion will bring the facility footprint to 38,000 sq ft.
