Memorial Hospital announced Nurse Practitioner Hayley Vaal has joined the staff at Memorial Orthopaedic Associates and is leading osteoporosis prevention and treatment.

She specializes in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of osteoporosis and metabolic bone disease, along with seeing patients for general and acute orthopaedic needs. She joins Dr. Christine Stairs, Orthopaedic Surgeon, and Jill Seng, Physician Assistant, to provide compassionate, orthopaedic care to Dubois and surrounding counties.

Vaal received her master of science in nursing at Chamberlain College in Downers Grove, IL. Before this, she completed both her associate and bachelor of science in nursing at Vincennes University Jasper Campus. Vaal was an emergency department provider for two years and has more than seven years of nursing experience at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center. Vaal also recently completed the Fracture Liaison Service Model of Care Training, a bone fracture prevention program through the Bone Health & Osteoporosis Foundation (BHOF). She is board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
