On Tuesday evening, the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department hosted a “Back to School Bash” in conjunction with the Crawford County School Corporation at the Crawford County Fairgrounds in Marengo.


An estimated 1200 students, parents, local businesses, and Crawford County residents were in attendance for an evening that saw over 300 backpacks being given away, 600 hotdogs & hamburgers served, and 40 door prizes won. Numerous items were given away by the organizations and businesses in attendance.


The Crawford County Sheriff’s Department also hosted a dunk tank, giving the public to send an officer into the water.


The CCSD would like to thank the public for their support at this event and send a big thank you to all those who participated including its own Officers: Lieutenant Jarret Denzinger, Sergeant Justin Froman, Deputy Gary Nale, Deputy Justin Lutz for braving the dunk tank.

The Crawford County School Corporation starts its 2024-2025 school year on Friday, August 2nd.
