Actors Community Theatre has announced they are now hiring production staff for its upcoming performances of Twisted Tales of Poe a Radio Play, by Philip Grecian from the stories and poems of Edgar Allan Poe. The performances of the radio play will be held on October 11th and 12th at 7:30 PM at the Thyen-Clark Cultural Center Black Box Theatre.

The Paid positions ACT is looking to fill are the Production Coordinator, Assistant Production Coordinator/Stage Manager, and Sound/Light Operator.

The Production Coordinator is responsible for casting, minimal costuming, setting a rehearsal schedule (about 4 – 5 rehearsals), and making directorial decisions for the radio play performance.

The Assistant Production Coordinator/Stage Manager is responsible for assisting the production coordinator, helping to procure minimal props and costumes, administrative tasks, and assisting with running the show on performance dates.

The Sound/Light Operator will design and run sounds and lights for rehearsals and performances. ACT notes that the time commitment and skill level required for running the light and sounds for the radio play is much less intense than it would be for a full-length performance, so it would be a great role for both seasoned techies and newbies alike.

More information about auditions for the radio play will be announced once the production team is in place.
