The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a road closure for State Road 61 in Knox County.

Beginning on or around Tuesday, August 20, crews will begin a road closure for State Road 61 in Knox County near Monroe City. This closure will occur between South Waterworks Road and South Wildwood Lane.

This road closure will allow for deep patching operations to be performed to the roadway. This work is expected to take two weeks to complete, depending on the weather.

The detour for this project is State Road 241 to U.S. 50 to State Road 57. Local traffic will have access up to the point of closure.
