The vibrant summer flowers adorning the Patoka River Bridge will soon fade as the season changes. These blooms were made possible by the generosity of donors who contributed in memory or honor of loved ones. As we prepare for fall, Patoka 2000 is seeking community support to adorn the bridge with beautiful mums that will grace the area until late October or early November.

Donations of any amount are welcomed and can be made in honor or memory of someone, or as a tribute to a favorite cause. This project not only enhances the beauty of Jasper but also offers a way to remember and honor those dear to us.

Family and friends are encouraged to contribute together to continue making Jasper a bright and welcoming place for residents and visitors alike.

This year’s summer flowers were cared for by volunteers from Kimball International, Debbie Allen State Farm Insurance, Kimball Electronics, Merrill Lynch/Tara Schnaus, Drew Englert, Nancy Eckerle, Gloria Street, Kelly Curtis, and Nicole.

A classified ad will appear in The Ferdinand News in mid-October, listing all donors and the individuals or causes they wish to honor. The deadline for donations for the Fall Project is September 20.

For more information on how to donate or volunteer, please contact the Jasper Chamber of Commerce at 482-6866.
