The Office of Hispanic and Latino Ministry at Saint Meinrad will present a retreat called Permanezcan Youth Retreat for Hispanic high school-age youth on August 30 to September 1, 2024, at Saint Meinrad Seminary and School of Theology, St. Meinrad, IN.

The retreat’s theme, “Who do you say that I am?” calls us to discover our identities as God’s beloved sons and daughters together. The weekend will include prayer, conferences, and fun activities that foster a sense of community and belonging.

Speakers for the retreat include Fr. Matthias M. Sasko and Fr. Corey Bruns.

Fr. Matthias, a Franciscan friar at the Marian Friary in Bloomington, IN, is studying canon law at the Catholic University of America. He recently published a booklet on Marian Consecration according to the spirituality of St. Maximillian Kolbe.

Fr. Corey serves as the bilingual parochial vicar at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Bowling Green, KY. He is an alumnus of Saint Meinrad and has experience working with Hispanic youth.

Youth participants must be accompanied by an adult. The fee for the retreat is $150.00 for youth under 18 years of age and $250.00 for adults. The deadline to register is August 15.
