Get ready, Ferdinand! The fall clean-up is scheduled for the week of October 7-10, 2024. Here’s how it’s going down:

  • Monday, October 7: Regular trash pick-up at 7 a.m.
  • Tuesday, October 8: Clean-up on the west side
  • Wednesday, October 9: Clean-up on the east side
  • Thursday, October 10: Reserved as a backup day, just in case!

Residents are reminded to attach 6 trash stickers per household. You can set out items like bicycles, bundled carpets, TVs, water heaters, and lawnmowers, etc. Just keep in mind that some things won’t be accepted, such as tires, construction materials, treated wood, fluorescent bulbs, freezers, etc.

Don’t forget—there’s a limit to how much trash can be picked up, so be mindful of what’s considered a “reasonable amount.” For more info, reach out to Tom Lueken from the Ferdinand Street Department at 812-367-2280 (ext. 5) during office hours, Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. And be sure to check the Town of Ferdinand’s Facebook page for the latest updates!
