Goodbye June has performed some of the most downright electric shows at The Astra, and they are set to return on Saturday, November 2! This band with local ties, guitarist Tyler Baker graduated from Northeast Dubois, is coming off of a freshly released new album, and they will undoubtedly create another night to remember. Goodbye June’s music has been described as “blues-infused rock with hard-driving beats, blistering guitars, and down and dirty vocals.” The music will kick off at 7:30 PM with Bones Owens and Jacob Thomas Jr.
Tickets are on sale at www.AstraTheater.com. Reserved seating tickets on the main floor and balcony are $30 with a $45 VIP option. The limited VIP ticket includes preferred parking in the Matrix parking lot, an exclusive meet and greet/photo opportunity, early access to merchandise, and seats in the first three rows. Doors open for all ticket holders at 6:30 PM.
Costumes are encouraged for this show! A signed guitar will be given to the band’s favorite costume!
Fusing hard rock licks with deep South blues and gospel swing, Goodbye June has recorded multiple albums with their latest, Deep in the Trouble, releasing in June ‘24 and immediately being met with high acclaim.
The three cousins (namely Landon Milbourn [vocals], Brandon Qualkenbush [rhythm guitar, backing vocals] and Tyler Baker [lead guitar]) are fuelled by their desire to craft timeless, catchy and anthemic rock songs. The band formed after the death of Tyler’s brother in June (hence the band name), vowing to honor his memory with their soulful and life affirming sound.
In addition to sharing the evening with Goodbye June, make plans to attend other events from the scheduled 2024 Next Act, Inc. shows.
