On Thursday, October 24, the Shoals Town Council held a special session to appoint a new Town Marshal, unanimously selecting Matthew Copeland for the role. Copeland, who has demonstrated a strong commitment to the community, officially steps into the position on October 25.

As the new Town Marshal, Copeland plans to prioritize public safety and address the needs of Shoals residents. Over the next few weeks, he will complete training to gain full police powers, equipping him to serve effectively.
