Lisa Guthrie, an administrative staff member at Jasper Elementary School, has been named the Greater Jasper Consolidated Schools (GJCS) Staff Member of the Month for February.

The monthly award recognizes employees who demonstrate exceptional leadership, dedication, professionalism and a willingness to go above and beyond their regular duties to benefit the school district.

Guthrie was nominated by a colleague who praised her versatility in covering various roles when needed, as well as her significant contributions to the school’s Leader In Me Program. The nominator emphasized Guthrie’s consistent hard work and commitment to the elementary school.

The Leader In Me Program, based on Stephen Covey’s “7 Habits of Highly Effective People,” is implemented in many schools nationwide to develop leadership skills and positive character traits in students.

GJCS presents this award monthly to highlight staff members who make exceptional contributions to the district’s mission of educational excellence. The recognition program is part of the district’s ongoing efforts to acknowledge the vital role that all staff members play in creating a positive learning environment.
