Purdue Extension is offering a three-part “Home Vegetable Gardening Basics” workshop at the Ferdinand Library this April, providing practical insights into starting and maintaining a productive home garden.

The sessions will be held on April 8, 15, and 22, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. EST. Topics will cover essential gardening techniques, site selection, plant spacing, soil preparation, crop rotation, and pest management strategies. Sessions will be led by Dr. Laura Ingwell and Dr. Cesar Escalante, with a focus on sustainable practices, organic pest control, and proper pesticide use.
