On Saturday, April 26th, Trooper Leah Schnell was working in the Dubois County area near Jasper when she observed a vehicle drive left of center multiple times. Trooper Schnell stopped the vehicle and made contact with the driver, Jose Palencia. Palencia showed visible signs of impairment. Palencia was transported to Deaconess Hospital in Jasper for a chemical test. Palencia was then arrested and transported to the Dubois County Jail, where he is being held on bond.
