High school seniors from across Southern Indiana are among the 40 statewide recipients of the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association’s (IBCA) 2025 scholarships, which recognize achievements in academics, athletics, leadership, and community service.

The IBCA, an organization representing over 2,400 high school basketball coaches across Indiana, awarded $500 scholarships in four categories: the Marion Crawley Memorial Scholarships, Junior Mannies Scholarship, Pat Aikman Character and Leadership Awards, and the new Steve & Jeanie Witty Scholarships.

Pat Aikman Character and Leadership Award Winners from Southern Indiana:

Several student-athletes from the region were recognized for outstanding character, leadership, and aspirations in fields such as journalism, sports management, athletic training, or physical therapy:

  • Fletcher Cole, Paoli High School (Orange County)
  • Colton Stowers, Washington High School (Daviess County)
  • Kai Kunz, Jasper High School (Dubois County)
  • Jack Campbell, Mt. Vernon High School (Posey County)
  • Meah Dalrymple, North Daviess High School (Daviess County)
  • Clara Hawk, Eastern Greene High School (Greene County)
  • Lauryn Adamson and Lydia Maurer, Gibson Southern High School (Gibson County)

These students are among the 15 recipients statewide honored with the Aikman award, named in memory of Pat Aikman, who served as Indiana All-Star games director from 1988 to 2007 and was a longtime advocate for student leadership.

  • Charlie Cross and Natalie Hudson, Mt. Vernon High School – Marion Crawley Scholarship
  • Lexi Smith, Princeton High School – Junior Mannies Scholarship
  • Hannah Dart, Madison High School – Pat Aikman Character and Leadership Award

In total, more than a dozen students from the counties of Dubois, Daviess, Gibson, Posey, Greene, Orange, Vanderburgh, and Jefferson were honored this year, reflecting the depth of talent and dedication found in the region’s schools and communities.

Since its inception, the IBCA scholarship program has awarded nearly $800,000 to Indiana high school seniors, supporting their post-secondary education and acknowledging their commitment to academic and athletic excellence.
