The Huntingburg Police Department is proud to announce that Officer Shinn has a new partner — K-9 Officer KAOS!

Officer Shinn and KAOS recently graduated from a 6-week K-9 training program at Vohne Liche Kennels in Denver, Indiana. During this training, KAOS received specialized training in tracking, patrol, and drug detection work.

KAOS is a 2-year-old Belgian Malinois from Hungary, and last week marked his very first week serving alongside Officer Shinn here in Huntingburg. Together, they are ready to serve and protect our community.

This important addition to the department would not have been possible without the generous donation of a community member, who fully covered the cost of the dog and training. We also want to give a big thank-you to B&A Construction and Design for building and donating a custom kennel for KAOS.

Please join us in welcoming K-9 Officer KAOS to the Huntingburg Police Department, and congratulating Officer Shinn on becoming a K-9 Officer.
