State Rep. Shane Lindauer (R-Jasper) is joined by local student Maddie Popp on the House floor at the Statehouse in Indianapolis on Feb. 9, 2026.

State Rep. Shane Lindauer (R-Jasper) recently welcomed Maddie Popp from Jasper, who attends Jasper Middle School, to the Statehouse where she participated in the Indiana House Page Program during the 2026 legislative session.

“I cannot emphasize enough the benefits of the House page program,” Lindauer said. “From networking to experiencing a professional environment, young students get to learn more about their state government and gain valuable skills.”

During her day as a page, Popp interacted with lawmakers and session staff, toured the Statehouse and joined Lindauer on the House floor to watch the legislative process in action.
