Deaconess Memorial Medical Center has announced the names of the physicians nominated for the 14th annual Little Company of Mary Outstanding Physician Award. 

The 2026 LCM physician nominees are:

  • Joseph El-Houjairy, MD – Hospitalist, Deaconess Memorial Medical Center
  • Josh Leonard, MD – Cardiologist, Deaconess Clinic Heart and Vascular – Jasper
  • Kevin Lusk, MD – Family Medicine, Deaconess Clinic Family Medicine – Ferdinand
  • Erin Marchand, MD – Family Medicine, Deaconess Clinic Family Medicine and Specialists – Santa Claus
  • Gary Riddle, MD – Family Medicine, Deaconess Clinic Family Medicine – Ferdinand
  • Cassie Robertson, DO – Family Medicine, Deaconess Clinic Family Medicine – Ninth Street
  • Kyle Schroering, DO – Emergency Medicine, Deaconess Memorial Medical Center

This award is based on outstanding job performance reflecting Deaconess Memorial’s Mission Statement and the Core Values of Respect for Human Dignity, Compassionate Caring, Stewardship, Quality and Justice. It is named after the Little Company of Mary Sisters, the founders of Deaconess Memorial Medical Center. To be accepted as a nominee, a physician must be classified as a member of the hospital’s medical staff for a minimum of twelve months and be in good standing with the medical staff. The recipient of this year’s award will be announced during a prayer service held in the hospital’s Chapel on March 30, 2026.
