Kristi Risk, candidate for Indiana State Senate District 39, has announced she received the sole unanimous endorsement of the Indiana State Police Alliance (ISPA).

As the only candidate in the District 39 race to receive the ISPA’s backing, the endorsement signals total confidence from the state’s frontline law enforcement officers in Risk’s leadership and policy platform.

This endorsement highlights Risk’s commitment to the men and women of law enforcement personnel and her specific legislative plan to provide them with permanent, legally binding protections.

Risk stated that her priority in the Statehouse will be to move beyond “Back the Blue” slogans and focus on codifying support into the Indiana Code. Her legislative platform for law enforcement includes:

  • Codifying Support: Moving past rhetoric to establish permanent, legally binding protections for law enforcement within state law.
  • Prioritizing Safety Over Red Tape: Empowering departments to focus on public protection and education rather than navigating unnecessary bureaucracy.
  • District Empowerment: Ensuring local officers have the necessary resources and equipment to return home safely to their families every night.

The Indiana State Police Alliance represents the interests of the men and women of the Indiana State Police, advocating for the profession and the safety of all Hoosiers.

The Primary Election for Senate District 39, which includes all of Daviess, Martin, Greene, Knox, and portions of Sullivan and Owen counties, is scheduled for May 5th, with early voting beginning on April 7th.
