The City of Loogootee has been awarded a $15,000 Impact Grant from the Martin County Community Foundation to assist with its police department’s K9 program.

The grant is aimed at improving the department’s operational capabilities while reinforcing public safety efforts across the community through continued development of the K9 unit.

Local officials and representatives from the foundation recently met to acknowledge the award and emphasize its role in supporting law enforcement services in Loogootee.
