The Jasper Park and Recreation Department and Patoka 2000 are once again sponsoring their annual tree giveaway.
This year’s event is set for Friday April 22nd beginning at 9 am at the Arnold F. Habig Community Center in Jasper.
This year’s seedlings from the state nursery include:
The White Pine, Bald Cypress, Flowering Dogwood, Redbud, Cherry Bark Oak, Scarlet Oak, White Oak, Red Oak, Norway Spruce, Overcup Oak, Bur Oak and Butternut Select.
those taking part will be limited to six seedlings.
Now there will be a donation box at this year’s giveaway. All donations collected will be put into the Jasper Park and Recreation Mike Oeding Endowment. All finds will be matched dollar per dollar by an anonymous donor.
