Old National Bank presented the Jasper Region’s ONB Community Matters Scholarship Award to Forest Park High School senior student, Katherine Hurst.

Hurst was chosen from a region-wide search for a student who has exhibited exemplary service to their community through volunteer activities.

Hurst submitted an application highlighting her extensive work in the community including a recent mission trip with an organization called Christian Appalachian Project.

Hurst will be attending Indiana State University in the fall majoring in Elementary Education.

Current high school seniors or current college students, who hold an Old National Kid$ Start savings account or ONBU Student Checking account were eligible to apply for the Community Matters scholarship for post-secondary education.

Throughout Old National’s footprint, 11 students will be awarded a $1000 scholarship.
