The Jasper Municipal Water Utility has issued a neighborhood boil water advisory for residential and business customers on a short section of Newton Street between Matthew Avenue and Schuetter Road near the city’s northside.
The declaration is necessary due to a water line break in the affected area the break took place at 9’o’clock last night. City water employees worked through the night to remedy the situation.
City Water customers in the area impacted are urged to boil their water for approximately five minutes before use.
Once again the pipe break took place around 9 o’clock last night near the water tower on Newton Street which led to the boil order advisory conditions. Crews were on the scene until early morning hours today making repairs.
