Firefighters along with 4 units with the Madison Township Fire Department responded to a fire that reportedly broke out in the Arrowhead Ridge neighborhood of Ireland Monday evening.
Officials arrived to a residence along the 5000 block on Alder Creek Drive.
The fire appeared to be coming from behind the residence where firefighters worked on a corner area in attempts to break into the brick wall behind the house.
EMS was told by officials that there were people in the residence when the smoke started to appear.
No further details are available at this time.
Madison Township firefighters were assisted at the scene by the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department and Memorial EMS.
