100 Men Who Cook took place this past weekend in Huntingburg and reached a record setting goal breaking 245-thousand dollars, raising almost double the money it did two years ago. Featured during the live auction was a Scott Rolen Memorabilia Set that sold for 41,000.00 dollars to Keith Hedinger. Separately from the Rolen memorabilia set was a Scott Rolen Jersey that was auctioned off for 21,000.00 dollars to Joyce Beck.

The 100 Men Who Cook is a community fundraising effort and is sponsored by Old National Bank. The event features local celebrity chefs who prepare their favorite recipes for guests to sample and enjoy. The volunteer celebrity chefs also compete in some friendly completion with this year’s Golden Spatula Award going to the team of Dave Buechler and Matt Dills and taking home the Tasters Choice Award was Mike Jones.  In 2014 the Jasper Region raised 115-thousand dollars for the Indiana National Guard Relief Fund. This year’s event fundraising supported the Dubois County Leukemia Association and Scott Rolens E5 Foundation with each charity receiving equal half’s of the raised proceeds.
