Tuesday evening the Huntingburg City Council heard updates in reference to Solar Net Metering. Mayor Denny Spinner stated that no ordinance had been passed at the meeting but a rate change was proposed to allow net metering to take place for those who would like to install solar energy in their homes.

The metering rate is at the exact same rate of $5.18 as it is for other customers and will also be similar to net metering at this time.

The action requires a motion and review by the city’s utility rate advisory board which will take place at the council’s next meeting set for September 27th.
