This past Saturday night at South Knox High School in Vincennes, our very own Charlotte Olson was crowned Miss Northwest Territory 2017. Her title is a preliminary  competition to Miss Indiana, which is a part of the Miss America Organization. In June Charlotte will join 35 other young women from across the state to compete for the title of Miss Indiana. During her year long reign she will be raising awareness for her personal platform, Standing Tall. Standing Together. Eating Disorder Awareness. Charlotte will also be appearing across the state as a representative of southern Indiana. Additionally she won over $ 2,000 dollars in scholarship money and received award for best overall interview. Charlotte is a member of the DC Broadcasting News Team and you can tune in to see her as she anchors the nightly news on 18- WJTS in Jasper.
