This past Saturday local high school marching bands competed in the class finals of the Indiana State School Music Association regional. All three Dubois County Schools have earned their way to the ISSMA State finals to be held at Lucas Oil Stadium in downtown Indianapolis this coming weekend. They include the Jasper High School Marching Wildcats, the Marching Rangers of Forest Park High School and the Southridge Marching Raiders.

Forest Park and Southridge preformed at the Class D finals at Franklin High School, Saturday with shows well enough to allow them to advance to yet another appearance in the capital city.

Competing in Class B activities at Pike High School in Indianapolis Saturday and advancing were the Jasper Marching Wildcats.

The Northeast Dubois Marching Jeeps took part in the Scholastic Class for small bands at Lawrence Central High School in Indianapolis on Saturday. Northeast Dubois did not place in the finals.

The Indiana state band finals will be held next weekend Saturday, October 29 with bands preforming at Lucas Oil Stadium with gates set to open at 9 a.m.
